Job Overview:

This position drives the recruitment marketing, candidate attraction & engagement, employer branding, sourcing events and social media strategy for GE’s Global Digital Technology Recruiting function.

The position will involve the development and execution of various strategies and execution plans for each of GE Digital’s key job families/business units to ensure that GE’s Digital employer brand across the globe is known in the key markets in which GE recruits. In collaboration with GTR Recruitment Marketing colleagues and GE Digital Marketing and Communications teams, this role will be responsible for the creation & maintenance of branding and marketing templates,  employee/candidate value proposition, recruitment website, microsites, social media pages i.e. LinkedIn and industry related video content.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Candidate Attraction

  • Develop candidate sourcing & attraction strategies for GE Digital’s key job families that support the overall DTR objectives. Including but not limited to development of global DTR and GE Digital’s candidate attraction plans; development of sourcing channel plans; new market entry strategy and global events strategy.
  • Develop candidate engagement and CRM tactics for GE Digital’s business critical/scarce positions
  • ·Develop the EVP at a business and job level for GE Digital’s business critical/scarce positions and work with the business to ensure they are aligned to the external market
  • Develop any ‘collateral’ required to support attraction strategies
  • Ensure that GE’s Employee Referral Program is effective

Employment Branding

In conjunction with GE’s Digitals Marketing and Communications team:

  • Create GE Digital’s employer brand strategy that supports the overall DTR objectives
  • Develop generic employment branding campaigns for GE Digital’s business critical/scarce positions
  • Develop templates/copy & images for GE Digital’s press and internet advertising
  • Ensure that the collateral required to support all DTR initiatives is developed and within GE guidelines
  • Social Media for DTR
  • Develop the social media strategy for DTR with GE guidelines that supports the overall DTR objectives
  • Build relevant social media channels and strategies for each DTR global market
  •  Develop content
  • Educate stakeholders
  • Measure activity
  • Monitor feedback/comments/activity

Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and Candidate Value Proposition for High Impact / Business critical roles

  • Input into determining the roles and job families at GE that have the highest impact (criticality) and are the most challenging to recruit (external market scarcity)
  • Determine the EVP/CVP at a ‘job level’ for scarce / critical positions and large job families considering tangible/ intangible components and benchmark against the external market to ensure GE Digital’s offering is ‘aligned”.  Work with other stakeholders in GE to influence change should any of the roles be misaligned to the external market impacting GE Digital’s ability to attract and retain talent
  • Ensure that all collateral & initiatives accurately portray GE’s EVP/CVP

 

Recruitment Technology

  • Content management (in conjunction with other key stakeholders) for GE Digital as it relates to recruitment marketing via ge.com and Ascendify ITM platform
  • Development and innovation (i.e. micro sites for key job families and businesses)
  • Ensuring that GE’s recruitment technology is used to execute DTR’s overall recruitment strategy

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a recruitment marketing & branding related position
  • A minimum of 5 years developing Employee/Candidate Value Propositions at a job/job family level and aligned with external markets
  • A minimum of 5 years developing and implemented social media strategies for recruitment purposes

Desired Characteristics:

 

  • Very strong knowledge of LinkedIn, facebook, twitter and blogging
  • Very strong knowledge of search engine marketing
  • Market intelligence and knowledge of the global and local recruitment practices and employment market trends
  • Demonstrated experience in the design of effective candidate attraction & CRM strategies
  • Understands the role that technology plays to help deliver candidate CRM
  • Has developed recruitment websites/microsites and is familiar with best practice and exhibits innovation
  • Has developed employee Alumni programs, Employee Referral Programs and candidate attraction strategies
  • Proven experience in planning and developing employer brand and recruitment communications and events (market reports; hackathons; meet-ups etc)
  • Written performance reports, strategies and or business cases for a recruitment function
  • Managed internal and external business partnerships
  • Presented to Senior Stakeholders or the Executive Team

Technical Skills:  

  • Improve the creditability and trust of business stakeholders and HR Managers in the DTR COE’s ability to meet global Digital growth and talent needs
  • Promote the purpose and strategy of the DTR team so that stakeholders can understand and value the services offered
  • Sustain complex relationships with external & internal stakeholders
  • Possess the level of‘savvy’ and credibility required across the business
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential to this role
  • Solid understanding of brand strategy and architecture
  • Ability to navigate through a corporate environment for the purpose of driving employer brand initiatives
  • Understanding of design and advertising principles
  • Presentation skills – ability to communicate ideas and influence others in a clear, positive manner.
  • Ability to negotiate with and manage external suppliers and business partners
